Sometimes a crazy idea just appears in your head.
Last month was such an occasion. During a conversation with my dad who was busy working on his latest radio control model boat, I some how stumbled upon the notion of how cool it would be to build an Ork warship.
I should explain at this point that I’m quite a fan of Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K… the modelling and painting of the miniatures as opposed to playing the tabletop games.
I continued to explain a few ideas of how it might look if a bunch of Orks were to build themselves a boat to take to war. Soon enough we started discussing which boat kits might be a suitable starting point for such a conversion. My dad mentioned a magazine review for Model Slipway’s Our Lass II and as soon as I saw the photos of it I felt the shape of the hull would be perfect. The rest as they say, is history.
Anyway, I’ve set up this Blog to record the process, where ever it may end up.
